"As timely and important as ever. . .A must for everyone who cares about media literacy and gender equity." -- Susan Douglas | author, Where the Girls Are: Growing Up With the Mass Media
Created by Jean Kilbourne, who is recognized for her work on alcohol and tobacco advertising and the image of women in advertising. Killing Us Softly are 3 series of films that analyze the advertising's depiction of women. To be "equally fair" we know that this has had an effect in both rolls, as a man and a woman. I hope that a film about mens macho role in society is made too.
