It dosen't work this way
I just copy pasted the whooooooooooooole thing from MISSBEHAVE MAg.
It's a classic.
Conversation from the vid:
| harry: | i love you. |
| sally: | how do you expect me to respond to this? |
| harry: | how about you love me, too? |
| sally: | how about, i'm leaving. |
| harry: | doesn't what i said mean anything to you? |
| sally: | i'm sorry, harry. i know it's new year's eve. i know you're feeling lonely, but you just can't show up here, tell me you love me, and expect that to make everything all right. it doesn't work this way. |
| harry: | well, how does it work? |
| sally: | i don't know, but not this way. |
| harry: | how about this way? i love that you get cold when it's seventy-one degrees out. i love that it takes you an hour and a half to order a sandwich. i love that you get a little crinkle above your nose when you're lookin' at me like i'm nuts. i love that after i spend the day with you, i can still smell your perfume on my clothes. and i love that you are the last person i want to talk to before i go to sleep at night. and it's not because i'm lonely. and it's not because it's new year's eve. i came here tonight because when you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible. |
| sally: | (feeling manipulated but also melting) you see. that is just like you, harry. you say things like that, and you make it impossible for me to hate you, and i hate you, harry. i really hate you. i hate you. |
Another conversation that I'm sure a lot of people can relate to:
Harry Burns: You realize of course that we could never be friends.
Sally Albright: Why not?
Harry Burns: What I’m saying is - and this is not a come-on in any way, shape or form - is that men and women can’t be friends because the sex part always gets in the way.
Sally Albright: That’s not true. I have a number of men friends and there is no sex involved.
Harry Burns: No you don’t.
Sally Albright: Yes I do.
Harry Burns: No you don’t.
Sally Albright: Yes I do.
Harry Burns: You only think you do.
Sally Albright: You say I’m having sex with these men without my knowledge?
Harry Burns: No, what I’m saying is they all WANT to have sex with you.
Sally Albright: They do not.
Harry Burns: Do too.
Sally Albright: They do not.
Harry Burns: Do too.
Sally Albright: How do you know?
Harry Burns: Because no man can be friends with a woman that he finds attractive. He always wants to have sex with her.
Sally Albright: So, you’re saying that a man can be friends with a woman he finds unattractive?
Harry Burns: No. You pretty much want to nail ‘em too.
Sally Albright: What if THEY don’t want to have sex with YOU?
Harry Burns: Doesn’t matter because the sex thing is already out there so the friendship is ultimately doomed and that is the end of the story.
Sally Albright: Well, I guess we’re not going to be friends then.
Harry Burns: I guess not.
Sally Albright: That’s too bad. You were the only person I knew in New York.

I don't know why, but lately I've picked up
on artists whose names are Pierre.

Pierre et Gilles

I want their book and love there work. They remind me a bit of David Lachapelle.
But no so much really.
"Kings of cult and popPierre et Gilles create dreamy portraits that transport their subjects--as well as the viewers--into an alternate world where camp, pop, burlesque, religion, and eroticism mingle in perfect harmony. Creating the sets themselves, and with Pierre as photographer and Gilles as painter/elaborator, they create one-of-a-kind artworks of an unmistakably original style. A host of stars has passed before their lens, such as Iggy Pop, Madonna, Marc Almond, Nina Hagen, Catherine Deneuve, Laetitia Casta, Marilyn Manson, Mireille Mathieu... though many of their portraits also feature unknowns.
Marking the 30th anniversary of their collaboration, the Jeu de Paume in Paris is hosting a retrospective of their work from June to September, 2007.
Much more than just an exhibition catalog, this book brings together all of the 130 works included in the exhibition as well as an additional 170 pieces focusing on the past ten years. Also included is a tribute text by the artist Jeff Koons. What better way to (re)discover the work of Pierre et Gilles"

TOday Im ONLY VENTING
Well, starting off, This last 2 weeks have been filled with work, and emotional draining. PMS came STROOOOOOONNNNNGGGGG. I thought I was gonna go mad. When the Big M hits it usually affects me emotioanlly. But this month it wanted to kill me. I fill my head with stupid thoughts. Then the Big M leaves, and im usually left feeling worse because I start thinking that nobody wants to be around me or be friends with me. I really love my friends, my BFFS. I really don't know what i would do without them.
Im afraid. I don't know why I'm always so afraid.
I think thats all I'm going to vent for today.
Speacially cause I'm not making any sense and
I'm talking about things here bien por encima.
Thank you fo reading.

MMM

My initial post was going to be about Hervé Léger on his 09 collection at the Mercedes Benz fashion week. Realllyyy loved the collection. Simplicity and details. Some of the forms of the dresses reminded me on the basic silhouettes on McQueen's dresses in his controversial animal Paris runway show.

Still as I changed my mind and decided to shift the focus of the post to Maison Martin Margiela. First of all, his site really took me back to '98 or '99 when web pages where really basic and navigating the site meant going through little folder icons back and forth, that was a treat :P. A well made video on Dazed and Digital left me wanting to share it here. I've seen Margielas designs before and I've always been a fan, but the video pays special detail to the pieces and just portrays them in a way that enhances the collection even more. Below are a few pics of the The 20th anniversary show and you can see the video here.

This shoot features clothing made by an EAP fashion student named Jarisbeth. She came to me needing some pictures of her outfits, a moodel, a photographer and a graphic designer. So I helped on all of those areas. I may not be the best model but at least she was pleased with the final outcome. THANK GOD cause everything here was pushed out like going to labor in only 2 and a half hours.
I think miracles can happen.
