In high school I became pretty obsessed with everything cherries. I had had earrings, a purse and anything that had the cute fruit in it. Years later I see the obsession a bit stupid(like things in high school) 'cause I never ate a cherry, it was just the bright red that I really liked(I guess). Still, this drawing has nothing to do with that anecdote, it gave me the perfect jump to show you my design. :D For more details here.

One of his many wonderful hobbies, wich he pursued in a more serious route, was needlepoint and macrame. Published the book "Needlepoint for Men" in 1973. At 6'5" and 300 pounds, he didn't care if you thought he was a sissy or not and for your sake, you beter.

Beauty

The series "Physical Fiction" from Justin LaRosa and Samuel Cox is an awesome use pixel art. What's amazing about this is that It's the best of both worlds mashed up. What is that?!?! To me they looked like beautiful book covers, but they really are is medical advertisment for medicines back in the 50s done by Franco Grignani (1908-1999) an italian painter, designer and architect who "participated in the Second Futurism movement. This movement had a close relationship with Abstract and Geometric Constructivsm. Franco Grignani conducted analytical research through pictorial means and photograph. His work was directed towards the study of perceptual processes experimenting with photograms, photomontages and overlays". More form this series here.

THE RING

I was blooooooown awaaaaaay by this ring. I've been looking for a while for a ring that would wrap the finger as a whole, but the only options out there make you look like a goth wannabe. As I was looking through some pretty amazing jackets by Di$count, scrolling down the page appears this amazing finger ring. A heavenly dream. Beautifully made and wearable. There are only 50 of them. It does make me sad that I can't afford this, sense there pretty much overpriced bout a $200US a ring, it's too much too much cash pressure for my finger. Although Im not proud of this I reeeeeeeally hope someone will at least make cheap knock offs, so people with a budget can wear them. If you have the cash flow, then get it here.

Noticed any lack of posting? Yup... This post will pretty much sums it up.

For the last month i was involved in a project that consisted of 9 designers getting a local brand and making an interpretation of it. It's suppose to be adv. oriented and you guys know how i feel about that. Still went in a more artsy way. Making myself free from the pressures of advertising. The piece consits of 6 illustration giving a message on how to recycle and reuse plastic bags, eventually for people to convert into the traditional fabric bag getting rid of the plastic. The line of bags that I was assigned was CONCALMA. Eventually everything came together in a installation called: " Llevame con calma, que voy de prisa".Below a few pictures of the project and the installation will be there until December.
